• This plan is designed specifically for Bethany College students by Student Assurance Services
  
• If you do not currently have health insurance coverage, this low-cost, medical insurance plan, underwritten by Columbian Life Insurance Company, is a good option
   
• Student Assurance Services of Wichita, Kansas has designed similar plans for colleges and universities in Kansas and other states
   
• Bethany College has worked with Student Assurances for a number of years and has been pleased with the services and attention to students' needs and concerns
   
• The "Ask Mayo Clinic" 24-hour nurse line benefit
  Insured students with health-related questions or concerns may call a 24-hour, toll-free number and have their questions answered by a registered nurse.
   
• A Travel Assistance Program for students and their dependents enrolled in the Accident and Sickness Insurance Plan
  The services include Medical Evacuation and Repatriation.   A separate brochure describing the program and an ID card will be sent to students who enroll in the plan.
   
• Student Athletes' special option
  Since the basic plan excludes medical benefits for injuries sustained in any intercollegiate sports practices, conditioning, or game situations, this addition to the policy will cover injuries related to intercollegiate athletics.  The special option for student athletes is not available without the basic plan.  By offering a basic plan with some exclusions, cost can be kept to a minimum.  The additional athletic coverage makes it easy for students to choose a plan to fit their individual needs.
