Students at Bethany College are not required, but strongly encouraged, to carry Health insurance. (All athletes must have coverage.) Bethany College offers an accident and sickness insurance plan through Student Assurance Services. This plan is offered to students, spouses and their dependents. Student Assurance Services offers health insurance programs to colleges in over 20 states, and approx. 30 colleges in Kansas.
Before coming to campus students should know what kind of insurance coverage they have, and they need to know how to file a claim. A copy of their health insurance card should be carried with them at all times. When using off-campus health care facilities, students should know if there is a preferred provider specified by their insurance policy. This information is available by calling the insurance provider directly, or at the provider’s website.

This accident and sickness insurance plan also covers students traveling abroad, and would be recommended to international students coming to Bethany College as well.
