Congratulations Lisa Runnebaum, sophomore, Seneca, Kan. Runnebaum was named NAIA second-team All-Region IV and KCAC first-team All-Conference. Runnebaum ended the season second in the KCAC in kills with 400 kills in 97 gamse (4.12 kills/game average). She also was fifth in the KCAC in digs with 569 digs in 97 games (5.87 digs/game average). The Bethany College volleyball team finished the season 10-16 overall and a conference record of 6-12, with a seventh-place finish in the KCAC.

Each season, a group of talented and dedicated young women compete in the Bethany volleyball program.  Many of the players are involved in campus leadership as well as upholding a reputation for academic excellence as a team.  The vast majority of team members receive academic and volleyball scholarships.  The 1998 squad combined for an average 3.49 grade point average.  Consistent with the overall mission of Bethany College, the volleyball program strives to prepare individuals for future success in a community of faith and creative learning.
