Attention Dana Students!

Bethany College offers a seamless transition for transfer students from Dana College. We promise personal attention, meaningful practical experience and the opportunity to be part in something bigger than yourself. The Vikings and the Swedes are like family and we welcome you to join our campus community this fall! Here is an overview of all things Bethany:

  • Student Activities: With more than 45 organizations, Bethany encourages students to get involved! Leadership development through participation in campus life is a hallmark of a Bethany experience. Student groups and activities include: student government, music ensembles, honor societies, campus ministry, intramurals, Student Activities Board and special-emphasis groups like the Bethany College Green Team. Our Student Activities Board offers events such as tethered hot air balloon rides, comedians, midnight bowling and more!
  • Outcomes: Although their individual paths have taken our graduates in many directions, for each, the starting point was always Bethany. Within six months of graduation:

    • more than 90% of criminal justice, teacher education and social work graduates have jobs in their field
    • more than 90% of music majors are placed in music-related careers
    • 100% of art education graduates seeking teaching positions have been employed
    • 98% of pre-law students have been placed into law schools
    • Pre-med graduates also have an excellent record of acceptance. They attend medical school, veterinary school, dental school, chiropractic school, podiatry school, physical therapy school, physician assistant school and graduate schools across the country.
  • Transfer Credits: As a peer institution, Bethany is a transfer-friendly college offering Bachelor’s degrees in many areas of the same areas of study as Dana. General education coursework at Dana will be fully accepted at Bethany.
  • Financial Aid: More than 95% of Bethany students receive financial aid, including aid directly from Bethany. Students transferring in to Bethany are eligible for the same merit scholarships and performance awards as first-time freshmen. Awards will be based on a student’s cumulative transfer GPA.
  • Residence Life: As a residential college, we value community interaction as part of the educational experience. Each residence hall has: free laundry facilities, cable TV, high-speed Internet access, lounges and air conditioning.
  • Athletics: Bethany, a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, has a rich history of success in athletics with 147 conference championships to the college’s credit. We field teams in 17 varsity sports.
  • Campus Community: Located in Lindsborg, Kan., Bethany College is a small, private college providing students personal attention within a caring community!
