Ken Macur received his doctorate in accountancy from the University of Illinois in 1988. He also has a Master of Business in finance and a Bachelor of Science in accountancy, also from the University of Illinois. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), still licensed to practice in the state of Wisconsin.
From Illinois, he accepted a position at the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater. He left his tenured, full professor position to develop a strategic management and information technology consulting practice, which he dissolved in 2008.
Prior to coming to Bethany College, Macur was the associate vice president for academic affairs and online learning at Edgewood College. Edgewood College is a liberal arts college in Madison, Wis. It is sponsored by the Sinsinawa Dominican Sisters.
As Provost, Macur oversees academic affairs, student development including the residence halls, athletic affairs, spiritual development, the Wallerstadt Learning Center, the registrar’s office, academic support services, and information technology.
He and his wife have two daughters. They reside in Lindsborg.
