Bethany College at MindFire presents the photography of Rachel Epp Buller. The photographs on display depict artistic interventions within public spaces and the use of food as symbolic reminders of gender specific roles and adaptations need when traveling in a foreign culture. Her ongoing work in Berlin was support by the Fulbright Commission. Rachel Epp Buller is currently an Assistant Professor of Visual Art and Design at Bethel College in North Newton.
Also on display is the ceramic work of Assistant Professor of Ceramics and Sculpture at Bethany College Virginia McKinney. Her textured ceramic sculpture of dwellings and small architectural “Pueblos” are made from earthen and stoneware clay bodies.
Both exhibitions run through the rest of April with a Closing Reception on Final Friday, April 25, 2014 – from 7 to 9 p.m.. This event is free and open to the public. If there are any questions, please contact (316) 771-7377.
