Advocacy Team is a student-run organization devoted to effectively addressing the causes of hunger and poverty through education and advocacy. Events include letter-writing campaigns, campus conversations, guest speakers, book discussion groups, meetings with government representatives, and hunger awareness activities. The Advocacy Team works in conjunction with similar organizations at other colleges and universities in addition to collaborating with national organizations like Bread for the World and RESULTS.

Bethany Youth Ministry Team offers fun and spiritual enrichment for team members and for the churches and youth with whom they minister. Through lock-ins, worship services, and youth events BYMT reaches out to area and regional congregations to spread the love of Christ and the joy of life in God. Contact Larkin Jaynes.

Campus Ministry Coordinators includes the leaders of the various Bethany Campus Ministry groups. CMC works cooperatively on various activities throughout the academic year and serves to present a unifying mission for all Campus Ministry efforts.

Chi Alpha (women) and Alpha Omega (men) Christian fellowship groups provide opportunities for fellowship, study, service and spiritual growth. All students are welcome to join.

Faith-Based Small Groups include Bible studies, prayer groups, and seekers groups are formed in the residence halls to meet the needs of students. These groups are student-led and organized around various topics of interest.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes presents to athletes and coaches and all whom they influence the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the Church. FCA meets weekly; meetings include noncompetitive games, speakers, movies, singing, and fellowship with friends, staff, and faculty. Athletes and non-athletes are welcome.

Ministry-Minded Students meet twice a month to discern their sense of calling and vocation to work in the Church. Students enrolled in or considering the Christian ministry major or minor are encouraged to participate. Outside guests are present frequently to share their perspectives and stories of God's call.

Habitat for Humanity, with a Bethany College chapter, helps with local projects and travels to other Habitat sites to address the issues of inadequate house and need.

Peer Ministers are students who reach out to other students to help them find their place at Bethany. Peer Ministers take an academic course which provides training in communication, listening, welcoming, confidentiality, making referrals, and decision-making skills. The Encounters series brings noted speakers spend two days on campus each semester to teach in their area of expertise. Students have a number of opportunities to meet these people in classroom, Chapel or informal settings.

Student Outreach through Active Response (SOAR) involves students in a variety of volunteer service opportunities, including service trips, blood drives and campus clean-up.

Knit-Wits is an intergenerational service group in which participants learn how to knit or crochet sweaters, bandages, and prayer shawls for people in need throughout the world.
