3-D archery shoots are very basic competitions. Whoever gets the closest to the kill zone on the target gets the most points. Each competitor will shoot at atleast 25 targets, although every competition varies. Each kill zone on the target is worth a different amount of points. At the end of the shoot when all competitors have shot at all targets, the highest score is your points leader and winner.

The GlenDel (full rut) series 3-D target is the most common target used in professional 3-D archery contests. As you can read the target is a real life replica of a whitetail buck. The target area consist of layered foam to allow a longer life.
