Twenty-day enrollment figures for the spring 2010 semester at Bethany College show a total enrollment of 519 students, a flat comparison with total enrollment from spring 2009 and a seven percent increase when compared to spring enrollment from just two years ago. It is the second largest spring enrollment at Bethany since spring 2005.
Of the 519 students this spring, 252 are male and 267 are female. More than half are from Kansas; other states with strong representation include California, Colorado and Texas. Four percent are international students.
Bethany College students this spring are from 19 foreign countries and 29 states. Overall, the Bethany student population is 24 percent U.S. ethnic minority.
Fall to spring retention of returning students this year was 87 percent, the average rate of retention figures from fall to spring for the past three years.
