Dane Pavlovich webBethany College announces Dane Pavlovich as the new Dean of Athletics. He will begin his duties July 1.

“I am very excited about the experience and energy that Dane will bring to Bethany College. We continue to explore ways to elevate the athletic program above and beyond its rich history. We are confident that the addition of Dane’s leadership and management skills will move the college in that direction,” says Provost and Dean of the College Dr. Ken Macur.

Pavlovich has been involved with athletics for the past 13 years, serving as the athletic director and head women’s basketball coach at MacMurray College, a NCAA Division III college, for the past three years, and the associate athletic director and head women’s basketball coach at Stephens College for five years. Some of his duties included helping facilitate the growth of the ten athletic programs at MacMurray College, focused on athletic recruiting efforts, enhanced the athletic facilities and worked with Alumni and Institutional Advancement on fundraising. In addition, Pavlovich served as the athletic director and head basketball coach at Linn High School in Linn, Mo., for three years and was a basketball player and JV basketball coach for Kansas Wesleyan University.

Pavlovich has served as a student-athlete tutor and supervisor at Kansas State University. He has run or participated in numerous basketball camps in Ohio, Missouri, and Kansas.

“I am honored to be a part of the Bethany College community. This opportunity is tremendously exciting for our family, and I look forward to working with the student-athletes, coaches, and administration to build upon the strong tradition of Swede athletics in the KCAC and the NAIA,” says Pavlovich.

Pavlovich received his Bachelor of Science degree in secondary education from Kansas State University and his M.B.A. from Stephens College, Columbia, Mo.
