Assistant Professor of Religion

Getting to know you…
What is your family like?
I have 6 brothers and 6 sisters (same two parents for all of us). We’re a bit like “Cheaper by the Dozen,” not as organized as the older movie, but not quite as crazy as the newer one (though sometimes it can get pretty close). Certainly not cheap, but the character development that comes from learning to get along with one another and pulling together to make things work is of exponential value.
What is your favorite cereal?
I go through phases, at present it is Golden Grahams.
Do you untie your shoes when you take them off?
Depends on what kind of shoe, how nice it is, and how tired I am.
Do you have a special talent?
Singing nostalgic, female trios with my sisters.
What is one thing you wish everybody knew about you?
That I love Bethany College.
Getting to know your program…
What is your academic area?
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
Helping my students see the amazing beauty and relevance of the Christian faith and God’s Word.
What is the worst part of your job?
The fact that time waits for no man.
If you could describe your teaching style in one word, what would it be?
What three things would you want all students to know or do?
I would like them to know the beauty and truth of God and His Word, to have the desire to properly apply it to every aspect of their lives and thinking, and to always be striving to know and apply it better.
