Pia Sundhage joined Bethany College this winter as the 2013 Pearson Distinguished Professor of Swedish Studies. While at Bethnay, Sundhage taught a one-credit-hour class during interterm, worked with Bethany’s soccer team as well as other regional teams, connected with Women’s Intersport Network in Kansas City, and made several public presentations.
Bethany College, the Lindsborg Arts Council, and the Adam Mickiewicz Institute of Poland will present international touring artist, Maciej Grzybowski, in a piano recital on Saturday, March 1 at 4pm at Presser Hall. The program will include works by: JS Bach, Schumann, Szymański, Paderewski, Rachmaninoff, and Chopin. Grzybowski will perform on the new Shigeru-Kawai Grand Piano recently gifted to Bethany College by the LaRue Frazier family of Colorado. The concert is free and open to the public. Free will donations will be accepted.
The Second Annual Bethany Grace Race will be held Saturday, April 19, 2014 in Lindsborg, Kansas during the Messiah Festival weekend. The 5k event will begin on the campus of Bethany College at Hahn Gym and proceed through the town of Lindsborg, ending back at the Field House. The Bethany Grace Race is open to all ages and will provide support for the mission of Bethany College…”to educate, develop, and challenge individuals to reach for truth and excellence as they lead lives of faith, learning, and service.” Area residents, community members, and Bethany students, faculty, and alumni are encouraged to participate!
