On August 9, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Bethany College @ MindFire will open its doors to the public. This is a chance for prospective students and curiosity seekers to learn more about creating their future as a digital artist. The tour offers everyone a chance to see firsthand how they can get an exceptional education, in Wichita, in the digital arts and earn a bachelor of arts in the field. Guests will also see demonstrations of the motion capture stage (the only one in the region) and see work previous students created.
Bethany College @ MindFire teaches digital arts with professional-level equipment, computers and software. Students receive the kind of hands-on-training necessary to make it as a filmmaker, video game designer, recording engineer or 3D artist. Students will be able to apply at the Open House and, if accepted, will be able to start class on August 21. Financial aid options are available, including grants and scholarships.
Bethany College @ MindFire, offers three paths towards graduation. One is a Bachelor of Arts degree. If a student already has 63 credit hours from an institution, or an Associate of arts or sciences degree, he or she can finish the last two years with Bethany College @ MindFire and be awarded a bachelor of arts in either digital filmmaking or 3D animation.
The second option is called the Collaborative. This track is ideal for a student who wants to just obtain hands on training. Over one year, the student will study any two of our focus areas and then take collaborative course which will give them an opportunity to leave school with a professional-level product to put on their reel.
The last option is a certificate tract in any of our four focus areas which can be completed in 22 weeks.
The Open House is free and is open to the public. Bethany College @ MindFire is located at 3805 E. Harry St in eastern Wichita.
