The conference’s primary purpose is to give Bethany students more knowledge about career opportunities by providing dialogue with successful alumni from different business fields. Although focused primarily to Business majors, the conference is open to all interested Bethany students.
Four panels composed of three alumni presenters representing accounting, banking and finance; health care; sales, marketing, customer service; and management, small business ownership and entrepreneurship, will take part in the conference.
The keynote speaker for this year’s conference is Josh Deschner, a 2006 graduate of Bethany College. He will speak at 10:30 a.m. in the Burnett Center on the Bethany campus. Deschner is a Category Manager at Flint Hills Resources, LP; a subsidiary of Koch Industries, Inc., in Wichita. Flint Hills Resources (FHR) is an independent refining, chemicals and biofuels company. As a category manager, Deschner’s responsibilities include commercial contract negotiation, development and implementation of best practices, and market analysis. Originally from Great Bend, Kansas, he currently resides in Wichita with his wife and two daughters.
