“Recollections”, a concert featuring Bethany College alumni band and choir ensembles will cap-off a weekend full of Homecoming activities in Lindsborg.

Bethany’s Homecoming, October 14-16, will celebrate the 135th anniversary of the college and will feature the alumni band and choir reunion among many other reunions taking place over the weekend. The college invites all former members of any Bethany College choir or band to return to campus and participate in the activities that close with the concert on Sunday, October 16 at 3 p.m. on the newly renovated Copley Stage in Presser Hall.

“The college is so excited to have all our alumni return,” Molly Johnson, director of alumni relations said. “We are particularly excited about the concert. This homecoming promises to be a special time for all alumni to gather, celebrate the college’s anniversary and enjoy beautiful music.”

Along with Bethany’s current band and choir directors, Dr. Claudio Re and Dr. Mark Lucas, several guest conductors will also participate in the concert. Dr. Gregory Aune, choir director from 1988-1995; Dr. David Higbee, band director from 1971-1996; and Doug Talbott, band director from 2001-2010, will all be in attendance.

Rehearsal times have been set aside during the weekend activities as well as a special luncheon for all those participating in the band and choir reunion. Online registration is still available for the band and choir reunion at https://bchomecoming2016.eventbrite.com and HERE is a full schedule of Homecoming events.
