To register for Family Weekend/Homecoming events, please fill out and return the attached form. Events denoted with * are a separate registration and not included in general Family Weekend registration.

Registration includes a t-shirt, all Bethany events listed, and the Saturday tailgate. A Bethany College tote will be available to the first 50 families that register. Register by September 28 to be guaranteed a t-shirt.

Cost: Adults = $25.00 Youth (4-11) = $15.00
Child (3 and Under) = $8 (only if you would like a t-shirt)

Check-in for Family Weekend 

Stop by the Office of Student Development in the lower level of Pihlblad Memorial Union on Friday afternoon or Saturday morning to pick up your registration information and t-shirts. Your Homecoming/Family Weekend name badge will allow you free admission to all Bethany events listed including the Saturday pre-game tailgate.

Come and check out the Bethany College store for apparel and memorabilia. Swede Nation Station will also be at the Tailgate.


Alpha Theta Chi

Alpha Theta Chi Sorority is hosting their Fall 2018 Family and Alumnae Day as part of the homecoming festivities. We invite all Theta alumnae and families to join us for this event starting with the tailgate on Saturday. We have a very special day planned for everyone and cannot wait to see you this fall!

Bethany Sunday 

President Will Jones will be delivering the sermon at both the 8am and 10:30am services Sunday, October 14 at Bethany Lutheran Church. Everyone is welcome! Hear President Jones deliver a wonderful message in the church where Bethany College began 137 years ago.

Doug’s Wire Writing 

Doug’s Wire Art is a unique craft form in which a single piece of wire is creatively bent into any requested shape — names, phrases, titles, symbols, etc.

*Alumni Awards Dinner

An evening to recognize Bethany Alumni and their accomplishments. We will be presenting the Distinguished Graduate Award, Gold Award, Lifetime Achievement Award, and Alumni Award of Merit. Registration is required and will be held in Lindquist Hall.

*Athletic Hall of Honor Luncheon

Wrapping up a great homecoming weekend with a luncheon to honor our Alumni Athletes and coaches. The lunch banquet will be in Lindquist Hall and registration is required.

Lift High the Cross 

Each year during Homecoming, Bethany College students sign up in shifts to hold a cross in the center of campus. The cross is held high during every hour of the week starting on Wednesday in this celebration of our heritage of faith. Have your student sign up for a shift and join them as they Lift High the Cross.

Bethany College/Lindsborg Community Orchestra concert at Maker’s Street 

The Bethany College/Lindsborg Community Orchestra will perform at the monthly Maker’s Street event in downtown Lindsborg. All orchestra alumni and area musicians are welcome to come play along! Contact Dr. Lillian Green ( for music in advance, or simply bring your instrument and join in.


“Meeting of the Bethany Old Gals,” from the early 60’s. They will be gathering in Lindsborg for their 28th annual get-together.

SAB Talent Show and Coronation 

Take in the talent show featuring Bethany students showing off their talents and skills to be followed with the coronation of our 2018 Homecoming King and Queen.

Softball Game 

Bethany College and Swedes Softball invites all softball alumnae to join us for our annual alumnae game. Spend the morning with the softball program before the rest of the day’s festivities.


Enjoy a tailgate picnic hosted by the Alumni Office and Student Development Staff. Bring your pop-up tents and lawn games, and join the party. We will also have Doug’s Wire Writing, face painting, and a balloon artist.

Get your Bethany Spirit items! We will have Bethany eye black, blue and gold beads, Swede head tattoos, and more!
