On Thursday, September 27, Bethany College inaugurated a new program in line with our mission of being “celebrated in the Midwest and the ELCA.” The Visiting Pastor program has been launched with a visit from Pastor Mark Fischer who serves St. Martin Lutheran Church in Kansas City, Kansas. Pastor Fischer visited campus in conjunction with the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians conference, held on September 29, where he sang in Hymn Fest. During his stay, Pastor Mark visited classes in his areas of interest, participated in Chapel Break, stayed in the dorm and ate in the cafeteria. “It was fun and interesting,” Pastor Mark said. “I would recommend this to other pastors.” Bethany College is welcoming pastors and other church leaders for a stay tailored to their interests and focus.
