LINDSBORG, KAN., April 26, 2019 – Bethany College has selected Amie Bauer ‘01 as the college’s Executive Director of Marketing and Communications. Mrs. Bauer has served for the past 14 years as an attorney at Gusenius Law Office/Karstetter & Bina, LLC.

“Amie is an excellent writer and communicator. Her colleagues praised her for her intelligence, strong communication skills, work ethic, integrity, and ability to relate to many different types of people. With Amie in this role, Bethany will rise faster,” said President Will Jones. “Mrs. Bauer will join a talented team of professionals working hard to help more of our students in achieving success and in making our local community an even greater place to live, work, learn, serve, worship, and play.”

In addition to serving as a local attorney, Mrs. Bauer also has served as the City of Lindsborg Prosecutor, McPherson Assistant County Attorney, and as the City of Moundridge Municipal Court Judge. She is also an approved mediator in the state of Kansas.

“Most of the success and relationships in my life today are because of Bethany.  Returning to Bethany in this role is the perfect opportunity to give back to the college,” Amie said.

 

Mrs. Bauer has been active in professional and local community organizations. She is current on a member of the District Judicial Nominating Commission and was previously appointed to a statewide ad hoc committee to study bonding practices, fines and fees in municipal courts. Mrs. Bauer also served two terms as a board member for the Smoky Valley Community Foundation and will return to the SCVF board in August.

 

Amie resides in Lindsborg with her husband Chris Bauer ‘93, a Kansas Highway Patrol Lieutenant, and their three girls. She and her family are members of the Salemsborg Lutheran Church.
