Sarah Zehnder joined Bethany in 2014 and completes informational surveys for accreditation and recruitment. She also collects and analyzes data from all departments across campus to give faculty, staff, and administration the information they need to make data driven decisions.
Zehnder holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology and criminal justice from Dana College, and a master’s degree in library and information science from Emporia State University. Prior to coming to Bethany, Zehnder has worked as a felony probation officer, fraud investigator, and school librarian.
A lifelong resident of Lindsborg, Zehnder enjoys being involved in the community and has served on the Lindsborg Arts Council and Public Safety Advisory Board. She currently serves as the President of the Lindsborg Housing Authority Board.
Zehnder comes from a family with close ties to Bethany, and after years with her sister, Mother, and Father all attending and working for Bethany, she decided it was her turn. Growing up on the campus and graduating from a different ELCA school has given Zehnder a unique perspective that allows her to analyze information ways that will best assist Bethany in it’s new era.
In her free time, Zehnder enjoys reading and researching various subjects of interest for her collection of “useless” information. She lives in Lindsborg with her son and daughter.
