Job Openings

Bethany College is looking for people who want to make a lasting, positive contribution through education, either directly or indirectly.

Bethany is a fulfilling place to use professional talents; each individual can have a major impact on the institution and those it serves. Bethany employees are part of a community that strives to exhibit integrity, hospitality, servant leadership, sustainability, and excellence in all we do.

Benefits

Bethany College provides a rich service of benefits to our employees. We partner with Portico Benefit Services, a subsidiary of the Evangelical Lutheran Church for health, dental and vision insurance. Portico Benefit Services contracts with numerous companies in order to serve the whole person including Blue Links (national Blue Cross Blue Shield) and Delta Dental. Bethany College partners with Sun Life for life, long-term disability and a variety of other coverages including accidental death and dismemberment, hospital indemnity, etc.

Additional benefits that are available to employees include:

  • Retirement: Bethany College pays into a 403B account at TIAA Cref. This is calculated at 5% of your earnings, and functions like a 401K.
  • Retirement Match: Bethany College will match an additional 2% into the 403B account (at TIAA Cref) if you give in at least 2%. To get the match, simply fill out the "TIAA Form for Employee Matching" found on the benefits tab on eSwede and send it in to HR. You can choose to give into a ROTH instead of a 403B, but the match will be applied to your 403B account.
  • Tuition Exchange: Bethany College participates in two different Tuition Exchange programs. Staff, spouses and dependants are eligible for tuition remission
at numerous universities all over the country. Mark Bandre (bandrema@bethanylb.edu) administers this program and he can help you
with the paperwork if you would like to participate.
  • Student Loan Forgiveness: Bethany College is a 501c3 non profit organization. As a non-profit, we qualify for 7 (of the 9) requirements for student loan forgiveness. Jeff Roush (roushjs@bethanylb.edu) is experienced with this and can help you with the paperwork if you would like to participate.
