Scholarships for Kansas Residents

Bethany College strives to support the local community through significant scholarships.

The Good Life Scholarship

This is a full-tuition scholarship worth 119,200 over 4 years to first-time freshman students graduating form a McPherson or Saline County High School. The first 40 students accepted and committed to Bethany College that have reserved their spot with the enrollment fee and meet the qualifications below will be awarded this scholarship.


Qualifications:
  • Graduate from a McPherson or Saline County high school in 2023 or 2024
  • A first-time freshman
  • Fill out the Bethany College Application.
  • High school transcripts showing a 2.0 and above GPA
  • Accepted to Bethany College
  • For a full tuition scholarship, you must live on campus and have the 19-meal/week plan


Options:

If you choose to live off campus, there will be a $6,400 decrease per semester in your Good Life Scholarship


In-State Scholarships

The $1,500 in-state scholarship is awarded to individuals with a Kansas residency


State of Kansas Scholarships

State of Kansas scholarships are for Kansas residents with financial need. Visit The Kansas Board of Regents to take the first step.

  • Student-Athletes

    Other Merit Awards

    Trustees Scholarship - $16,000
    Cumulative GPA of 3.75+


    Founders Scholarship - $14,000

    Cumulative GPA of 2.50 - 3.74


    Academic Award - $11,000

    Cumulative GPA of 2.0 - 2.4

  • All other Students

    Merit scholarships are renewable for 4-years.


    Carl Swensson Scholarship - $18,000

    High school seniors with a cumulative GPA of 3.92+


    Provost Scholarship - $16,000

    High school seniors with a cumulative GPA of 3.67-3.91


    Dean’s Scholarship - $14,000

     High school seniors with a cumulative GPA of 3.14-3.66


    Swede Award - $12,000

    High school seniors with a cumulative GPA of 2.65-3.13 


    Blue and Gold Award - $10,000

    High school seniors with a cumulative GPA of 2.0-2.64



Bethany Scholarships

Talent Scholarships

Significant talent scholarships are available for Art and Music upon auditions and /or portfolio submissions. Email admissions@bethanylb.edu for more information.


First-Generation Scholarship

The $1,000 scholarship is awarded to high school seniors who are the first to go to college in their family.


Legacy Scholarship

The $1,000 scholarship is awarded to high school seniors who had a parent or grandparent graduate from Bethany College.


Leadership Scholarship

The $5,000 scholarship is awarded to high school seniors who demonstrate leadership in their schools, communities, and churches. This scholarship cannot be combined with an athletic, music, or art talent scholarship.
