BETHANY COLLEGE DEPARTMENT OF MUSIC PRESENTS A “HANDBELLS & HYMNS” CONCERT

LINDSBORG, KS. NOV. 17, 2022 – The Bethany College Music Department presents a “Handbells and Hymns” Concert at 4 pm on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2022, in Pearson Chapel on the Bethany College campus. 

 

This performance will feature traditional Christmas carols arranged by Patricia Cote, including “Angels We Have Heard on High,” “Go Tell it on the Mountain,” “We Wish You a Merry Christmas,” and more. 

 

Also featured in this concert will be a piece called “Haggstrom” from the video game “Minecraft,” arranged by Indigo Guise, a digital arts senior from Salina, Kan.

 

"As members of the Bethany College Handbell Ensemble, we love the Carols of this time of year! We are thrilled to share them with the wonderful Bethany community, and we hope you come and enjoy this beautiful concert," says Tyler Boehmer, Visiting Associate Professor of Music.


This event is free and open to the public.

Dr. Chienyn Chi, Assistant Professor of English at Bethany College (bethanylb.edu), was invited to speak at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University in Taiwan about her book. The event highlighted interdisciplinary scholarship and global academic collaboration which Dr. Chi is integrating into her teaching at Bethany.
