Brenda Meyer Joins Bethany College Advancement & Alumni Team

August 9, 2021
LINDSBORG, KAN., August 09, 2021 - Bethany College is excited to announce that Brenda Meyer has joined the Advancement/Alumni Office. New to Kansas, but not new to higher education, Brenda brings 8 years' experience in higher education administration to the office. Serving in multiple roles at colleges in Arkansas and Iowa, she is excited to build bridges and make connections on behalf of Bethany College as the Director of Development responsible for planned giving and endowments. Inspired by the story of Lindsborg's early Swedish immigrants coming to framtidslandet, the land of the future, and the dedication of Dr. Carl Aaron Swensson to establish a learning institution for their community, she intends to carry forward the vision of Bethany College to our donors and beyond. Please stop by the Sjogren Center to say hello and share your Swede story.

Bethany College, established by Swedish Lutheran immigrants in 1881, is a college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The mission of Bethany College is to educate, develop, and challenge individuals to reach for truth and excellence as they lead lives of faith, learning, and service. Bethany connects its past, present, and future with distinctive initiatives like Swedes to Sweden, a free service-learning trip for the sophomore class to Sweden, and the Good Life Scholarship, presenting all local high school graduates with a four-year, full-tuition scholarship to the college. Bethany College is on the Web at www.bethanylb.edu and is located in Lindsborg, Kansas, the fine arts and crafts capital of the state.
