The primary mission of Wallerstedt Library is to be the most valuable resource for academic success outside of the classroom. It is an integrated learning space connecting library resources, the writing center, and academic support services. The space provides electronic and physical resources, active collaborative spaces, and quiet areas for study.
The Path to Your Purpose Office (PTYP) offers a wide range of career services resources for students, including workshops, career fairs, mock interviews, and one-on-one advising for the job search or graduate school application process. Bethany manages all career services matters – including on-campus employment, external job/internship listings, and advising appointments– through the innovative Handshake platform. Students and recent alumni can access Bethany’s Handshake network and set up a profile using their bethanylb.edu email address. For career services inquiries please make an appointment with Benjamin Austin (Career Pathways Administrator) on the platform.
The Student Success Center (SSC) is an informal setting where students can study and have access to equipment and assistance when they need it. SSC staff have expertise in advising, teaching students study skills, identifying goals, and developing habits for college success.
The Student Handbook, published electronically by the Division of Student Development annually, is made available to each student of Bethany College. It is the primary source regarding the College’s policies for students and the expectation for students to uphold Community Standards. The Handbook also includes the resources available to students through the Division of Student Development, including various services and opportunities for involvement on campus. Once during the year, students are asked to acknowledge that they have read and will abide by the spirit of the policies and procedures outlined in this Handbook.
Bethany College has a Campus Nurse and a Campus Therapist available as well as indoor and outdoor gym facilities available for to students.
Campus-safety personnel patrol the campus daily, as well as nightly from 9 pm until 3 am. Sunday to Saturday, throughout the year. Lindsborg Public Safety Center personnel are called in cases of unlawful activity. In case of medical emergencies, the Lindsborg Community Hospital operates a 24-hour Emergency Room and is located at 605 S. Lincoln. Ambulances can be reached by calling 911.
