Biography
Originally from Longmont, Colorado, Christie holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Sociology, and Political Science, a Master of Public Administration, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, all from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.
She brings over a decade of experience in higher education, having served in key roles at Utah Valley University and Weber State University, and taught at the University of Colorado. As a first-generation college student, Christie is passionate about supporting students and helping institutions thrive.
Christie joined Bethany College because she believes in the power of a liberal arts education and the strength of community it fosters. Inspired by a letter from an alumnus describing Bethany as a place rich in values and ideals, she sees the college as a place where education is grounded in care, commitment, and connection.
She looks forward to serving the students, alumni, and community of Bethany College. Christie is an avid iced tea drinker and doesn’t mind Lutefisk once a year.
