EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, KCAC SUSPENDS ATHLETIC-RELATED PRACTICE, TRAVEL, AND COMPETITION

“WICHITA, KAN.- Effective immediately, the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) has suspended indefinitely all athletic-related practice, travel, and competitions for the athletics programs for its member institutions. The KCAC Board of Presidents took action on this decision Friday morning.

Protecting the health, safety, and well-being of student-athletes is the conference’s highest priority. The KCAC Board of Presidents views this decision as the necessary step in addressing the public’s concern with the COVID-19 Coronavirus outbreak. 

 

The KCAC Board of Presidents will communicate frequently in the days ahead to determine when and if the suspension can be lifted. The KCAC will continue to work closely with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) in determining when and if NAIA Spring 2020 Championships will be played.

Bethany College is proud to announce the return of sideline cheer, launching with the 2025–26 academic year. Leading the program is newly appointed head coach Patricia Smith, an experienced educator and cheer coach. Sideline cheer will return to Bethany’s home football and basketball games.

Bethany College is pleased to announce the appointment of Audrey Saxton as the new Assistant Professor of English. Saxton earned both her Master of Arts and Ph.D. in English from Penn State University, where she taught courses in writing and composition, world literature, and pre-1800 literature.

Bethany College is pleased to announce the appointment of Megan Case as the new Assistant Professor of Religion. Case earned her doctorate from the University of Texas at Austin in 2016 in Ancient Mediterranean Religions with a graduate portfolio in Women's and Gender Studies.
