Faculty Recital, September 26th

LINDSBORG, KAN., 9.17.2021 – The Bethany College Department of Music will host a Faculty Recital on Sunday, September, 26th, 4:00pm, in Pearson Chapel.


The Faculty Recital will feature performances by Dr. Keith Dodson, alto saxophone; Prof. Leslie Mangrum, soprano; Dr. Daniel J. Masterson, piano; Ann Samuelson, violin; Dr. Hentus van Rooyen, organ.


Works by composers Chopin, Duruflé, Mauric, Mozart and Vivaldi will be featured.


This annual event showcases performances of the music faculty of Bethany College. Each brings significant experience as private teachers, as clinicians for area festivals, and performers for area churches and other music events.


Masking is expected regardless of vaccination status. Admission is free and open to the public.

Bethany College is proud to announce the return of sideline cheer, launching with the 2025–26 academic year. Leading the program is newly appointed head coach Patricia Smith, an experienced educator and cheer coach. Sideline cheer will return to Bethany’s home football and basketball games.

Bethany College is pleased to announce the appointment of Audrey Saxton as the new Assistant Professor of English. Saxton earned both her Master of Arts and Ph.D. in English from Penn State University, where she taught courses in writing and composition, world literature, and pre-1800 literature.

Bethany College is pleased to announce the appointment of Megan Case as the new Assistant Professor of Religion. Case earned her doctorate from the University of Texas at Austin in 2016 in Ancient Mediterranean Religions with a graduate portfolio in Women's and Gender Studies.
