April 21, 2023

LINDSBORG, KAN., - Bethany College is proud to announce the donation of a new Ford Maverick Crew Cab pickup truck, courtesy of Long McArthur Ford in Salina, Kansas. The dealership has been making a difference in the central Kansas community for over 70 years through its Driven to Give Back Campaign, and this year, Bethany College is one of its lucky recipients. The truck is wrapped with Bethany College graphics from front to back, making it a visual representation of the strong partnership between the college and the local business community.

"We are THRILLED about this gift from Long McArthur to Bethany College," said Jacob Spilker, Vice President of Advancement. "The future is bright for our Dear Ol' Bethany. This truck will represent us well as we take it on the road to recruit future Swedes, visit our Bethany College family, and cheer on our talented athletes. It will be a great reminder that Bethany College is an outstanding institution in our community. We are excited about the joy it will bring our alumni and friends as they see their college represented in their communities.”

Long McArthur Ford Director of Advertising Ashley McArthur expressed her excitement over the partnership between Bethany College and the dealership. "We are so excited to announce our partnership with Bethany College!"

Derek Lee, General Manager for Long McArthur Ford and a Lindsborg resident, said, "I have seen Bethany's incredible impact on students, both while in Lindsborg and as they go out across the world. We are proud to partner with Bethany and look forward to supporting all their events throughout the year."

Bethany College is grateful to Long McArthur Ford for their generous donation and ongoing commitment to supporting organizations in central Kansas. The college looks forward to the positive impact the truck will have on its recruitment efforts, athletic events, and community engagement.
