Jul 06, 2021

Daric Neuschafer '96 majored in Business Economics with a concentration in Management and Finance here at Bethany College. His postgraduate studies include a Bachelors in Science and Physician Assistant Studies at Wichita State University. Daric is currently a Physician Assistant with University of Missouri Orthopedics.

When asked who influenced him most he replied “ My peers influenced me the most but Richard Strange was always there for me through my journey athletically and academically. My favorite memory at Bethany is difficult because there are so many but probably winning conference tennis my senior year in both singles and doubles was definitely a highlight.

Most important thing I learned at Bethany was to have faith in God, and to develop great relationships as these are necessities in life.”

Current advice for students? “It is what you make it so take full advantage of the opportunities that are offered.”

Summarizing his path to his purpose, “ I originally came to Bethany as a premed major for about a year and a half then changed to business. Upon Graduation I worked as a financial planner/stock broker for a couple years before deciding to get back into medicine. I then went to Wichita State and graduated. I have now worked as a PA in orthopedics for nearly 20 years doing spine surgery, total joints, sports med., upper extremities and general orthopedics. My greatest professional accomplishment is getting to help/cure people to become and enjoy the activities they love in life.” Daric shares “ I would highly recommend the career of Physician Assistant. It has offered me and my family so many opportunities professionally, socially, and financially.” In the future Daric is hoping to start doing some medical Mission trips.
