Verification

When a student completes the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), they may get selected for a process called verification, which means the Department of Education wants Bethany College to verify the information provided on the FAFSA.

Verification does not necessarily mean you made a mistake on your FAFSA. Most students are selected randomly. While we may be able to provide you an estimate of your financial aid, there are some important next steps you will need to complete in order to make sure that aid can be finalized if you are selected for verification.

Verification is not optional if you want to receive financial aid. Bethany College is not allowed to release federal aid to you if you have been selected for verification and have not completed it.

If you were selected for the verification process and failed to submit the necessary documentation. It is then your obligation to pay your student account balance or make payment arrangements.
