BETHANY COLLEGE TO PARTNER WITH SALINA AREA TECHNICAL COLLEGE

LINDSBORG, KS., AUG. 17, 2022- Bethany College announced on Monday a cross-registration agreement with Salina Area Technical College (SATC). Bethany College students will be able to earn a certificate in one of SATC’s programs while simultaneously earning a bachelor's degree at Bethany. Similarly, SATC students will have access to a broader range of general education courses while completing their associates degrees or certificate programs. 

 

The agreement was solidified on Monday Aug. 15, 2022, when Gregory Nichols, SATC President, Jennifer Calls, SATC Vice President of Instruction, and Mark Bandrè, Dean of Academic Innovation and College Registrar at Bethany College signed the agreement that will strengthen academic programs and broaden student experiences and options. “This opportunity began in January 2021, so I am especially excited that persistence paid off in a unique opportunity to serve students,” states Bandrè. 

 

Bethany College, established by Swedish Lutheran immigrants in 1881, is a college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Bethany College is proud to announce the return of sideline cheer, launching with the 2025–26 academic year. Leading the program is newly appointed head coach Patricia Smith, an experienced educator and cheer coach. Sideline cheer will return to Bethany’s home football and basketball games.

Bethany College is pleased to announce the appointment of Audrey Saxton as the new Assistant Professor of English. Saxton earned both her Master of Arts and Ph.D. in English from Penn State University, where she taught courses in writing and composition, world literature, and pre-1800 literature.

Bethany College is pleased to announce the appointment of Megan Case as the new Assistant Professor of Religion. Case earned her doctorate from the University of Texas at Austin in 2016 in Ancient Mediterranean Religions with a graduate portfolio in Women's and Gender Studies.
