BETHANY LANDS 12 TEAMS ON NAIA SCHOLAR-TEAMS LIST

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – July 16, 2019, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA)  announced the 1,939 teams that have earned the distinction for Scholar-Teams for the 2018-19 academic year. The Swedes landed 12 teams on that list; men’s basketball, women’s basketball, women’s cross country, men’s golf, women’s golf, women’s indoor track and field, women’s outdoor track and field, women’s soccer, softball, men’s tennis, women’s tennis, volleyball.
For a team to be considered for the NAIA Scholar-Team award, it must have a minimum 3.0-grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as defined by the institution. The team grade point average includes all eligible varsity student-athletes.

Bethany College is pleased to announce the appointment of Audrey Saxton as the new Assistant Professor of English. Saxton earned both her Master of Arts and Ph.D. in English from Penn State University, where she taught courses in writing and composition, world literature, and pre-1800 literature.

Bethany College is pleased to announce the appointment of Megan Case as the new Assistant Professor of Religion. Case earned her doctorate from the University of Texas at Austin in 2016 in Ancient Mediterranean Religions with a graduate portfolio in Women's and Gender Studies.
