INTERIM DIRECTOR OF ALUMNI ENGAGEMENT AT BETHANY COLLEGE ANNOUNCED

LINDSBORG, KAN., June 13, 2022 - Bethany College is pleased to announce the appointment of Jill (Johnson) Fishburn ’91 as Interim Director of Alumni Engagement. Fishburn grew up in Ulysses, KS, and graduated with a bachelor's degree in business communications from Bethany College, and a master's in professional counseling from Ottawa University. She married her “Swede-heart” Paul Fishburn '91, and they have two children, Grant and Madelyne. Fishburn and her family live in Phoenix, Arizona, where she has run a thriving mental health practice since 1994. Fishburn currently serves on the Bethany College Alumni Council, was the secretary for two years, and spearheaded the reimagined class agent program. Fishburn will assist the Advancement and Alumni Office during the search for a full-time Alumni Director. The college looks forward to the insight and enthusiasm Fishburn will bring to the position as homecoming and alumni reunions are in the planning stages. Bethany College is proud to announce the return of sideline cheer, launching with the 2025–26 academic year. Leading the program is newly appointed head coach Patricia Smith, an experienced educator and cheer coach. Sideline cheer will return to Bethany’s home football and basketball games.

Bethany College is pleased to announce the appointment of Audrey Saxton as the new Assistant Professor of English. Saxton earned both her Master of Arts and Ph.D. in English from Penn State University, where she taught courses in writing and composition, world literature, and pre-1800 literature.

Bethany College is pleased to announce the appointment of Megan Case as the new Assistant Professor of Religion. Case earned her doctorate from the University of Texas at Austin in 2016 in Ancient Mediterranean Religions with a graduate portfolio in Women's and Gender Studies.
