Salina South Middle School Band, Bethany College Lindsborg Community Orchestra & Bethany College Symphonic Band to Perform

LINDSBORG, KAN., April 25, 2022 – The Bethany College Music Department will host a concert including the Lindsborg Community Orchestra, the Bethany College Symphonic Band, and Salina South Middle School Band on May 10 at 7:30 pm in Presser Hall on Bethany College Campus. 


This event will feature music by Pierre La Plante, Richard Wagner, Johannes Brahms, Jean Sibelius, David Holsinger, Mark O’Reilly, and Robert Longfield.


Dr. Keith Dodson, Assistant Professor of Music, and Mr. Jacob Andres, Salina South Middle School Band Director, will be directing.

“We are so excited to include the Salina South Middle School Band. Bethany College believes in encouraging a younger generation of musicians. It is our privilege to host them and their director,” adds Dr. Dodson.


This event is free and open to the public.

Bethany College is pleased to announce the appointment of Audrey Saxton as the new Assistant Professor of English. Saxton earned both her Master of Arts and Ph.D. in English from Penn State University, where she taught courses in writing and composition, world literature, and pre-1800 literature.

Bethany College is pleased to announce the appointment of Megan Case as the new Assistant Professor of Religion. Case earned her doctorate from the University of Texas at Austin in 2016 in Ancient Mediterranean Religions with a graduate portfolio in Women's and Gender Studies.

Bethany College is pleased to announce the appointment of Janelle Adams as the new Assistant Professor of Religion. She recently completed her Ph.D. in Religion at Emory University, with a focus in social ethics and practical theology.
